Susan first learned of I Have Wings when Janet Chambers did an event at her company in 2015. She then began volunteering for the foundation working with jewelry. Susan grew up in northern Ohio, attended OSU for a short period, and then transplanted to northern KY where she finished her bachelor’s degree at Thomas More University. Susan stopped volunteering for a short time frame when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016, went through her journey with huge support, and has been cancer free since. Her husband was diagnosed with ALS in 2018 and she cared for him until his passing in 2021. In 2022 she jumped back in to volunteering for I Have Wings and in 2023 became the Jewelry Coordinator for the foundation. She loves working to support this amazing foundation!
